The Submerged Tree
Somewhere, sitting between two mountain sides in Austria, a tree lays submerged in a green lake. Surrounding this tree, you can find a bike trail, benches, and even a bridge, also submerged - or well, for half the year anyway. That’s because this lake becomes barren of water in the frozen winter months, and serves as a park for wary travelers and locals alike. By June, when the snow on the mountain peaks and surrounding terrain begins to melt, the water swells and transforms the land into a lake, submerging the park and creating this underwater spectacle.
